This year has been a year full of changes for me, to enter to one of the most important universities of Chile brings thousands of things, that I eventually learned to control or manage; all of this with the purpose of being able to perform well in different subjects, one of the things that was cost me more learn and master are the technological objects, such as computers, microscope, and data show; which were part of my learning process and that through sequence of interesting and entertaining anecdotes and situations became an important part of my day a day here in college.
When I have my first class in the biologic lab almost die there because I dont`understand anything I see a lot of microscope and a type of glass with something stuck of them. thank god my dear teacher teach me how to use microscope and focus only the part that i need to see. That was my first experience with this sort of technology, because I used to use another kind of Technologies such us Internet or computer but in this case I never used power point to make any presentation I only used power point to write something casual.
I think that in university in general or or specifically at the university of chile technologies take more importance due to the relevance that this will have when we have treat a patient or more enfocas in me career when I have to care delivery; for this reason whit the innovation currículum on my career the use of technologies has become a vital tool to improve our skills; for this from the first day of class we had to learn to use complicated software, called hypercell , every class we have a evaluation of the topic treated with hypercell that class.
Finally I think it is important to note that in the times we live in and with the facilities that give us the various technological tools, it is important to use the right way and with specific objectives, which aim to improve certain aspects of our lives.
One aspect that we have to understand and our teachers have to know is that we must focus on an important tool for the education are the new Technologies, be of vital importance to our future performance as a professional; this wiil be the most difficult challenge for the next genaration of professional because technologies change every day.

challenges in my discipline.

In a century in which we live is important that health careers and obstetrics specific, capable of adapting to the new requirements, that is able to meet new needs and conditions of different populations.
One of the most important point of the future challenges in my discipline is the challenge of equito, with that I want to said that the majority of the population and can be served by excellent professionals; to my is important that the type of server and inputs be the same regardless the race, gender or social class.
In the future we will have to deal with all sorts of diseases so technological tools help us to improve or eradicate all forms of disease. For this is really important that we have the capacity of work with new technologies so if is necesary we have to qualify.
A challenge for me would be that the birth process is not a traumatic experience for mothers so and I think that as future midwives should be able to create different forms of lighting to suit the needs of individual women diferenters.
Would be important that future resources are allocated to the health area and specific to the area that are related to our career.

If we talk about the challenges in relation with education I think this would be one of most powerful tools because through this we could raise awareness and be able to prevent and significantly reduce rates of teenage pregnancies and sexual diseases .
To obtain this would be important that there be some training that has related with sexual and reproductive health of different communities in order to be able to discover the needs of each specific population.

would be important that when leaving the university might receive various trainings to keep upgrading our knowledge.

All assumptions are challenges I have mentioned with relation to what I see today and maybe in the future challenges that are no longer, i mean that in the futuro maybe has another challenges to sort out, and midwife must to be able to work with that on sort out.

Improving your faculty

Hello my dear classmates today I am going to talk about my opinion about some point of my faculty.
When I read the subject for this blog I really think that I don’t have anything bad to say.
I think that my faculty is wonderful, because this has green areas, common species of recreational and wonderful places to have lunch. Classrooms are all very comfortable and the people in charge always kept clean and tidy.
If I have to say something bad y think that I have to talk about bathrooms, the vast majority of times are dirty and full of people, so I prefer don’t go to the bathrooms when I stay in the university. The first time that I come to this faculty I don’t like it but with time I get use to this faculty.
I really love the majority of my teachers, they are so commit with this job that they make me feel so inspired.
Some things that this faculty need to improvement are some of the microscopes that we used to see some of the tissues in histology class, most of the time are impossible to focus it right. Another thing that this faculty needs to improve are the computers in the library, other point related with the library is the fact that there are few copies of some books so its really difficult to require some books when the majority of the university was in evaluation time.

To improve these points it is really important to organize and demands for people in charge that this is a really important problem and we need some solution for this. I think it is very important to have a constant dialogue with the dean of this faculty that are aware of our needs. This with the purpose of improving our educational process.

Hello today I am going to write about my hobbies someone of them is cook sweet things like cakes, cookies, apple pie, I started to cook when I have 12 years old because my new nanny was a “master” in pastry and she teach me a lot, but in the first time I don`t be very intestented in cook. But She had so patience with me that I started so love cook.
I really think that no need any kind of skills for cook only you have feel passion, and put all your love in the preparation of different delights that are you doing.
When I star to cook I feel that I be in other worl because i only think in how can I do the best cake for example.
Although in the previus test I write about dont have any skills I think that I discover someones like use in the rigth way my hands for shake something or learn to read instructions that others was write,
If I have to said to somebody how this hobbie develop my personality provable would say that I develop my patience, I stated to be more perfectionist and in the last but no less important I learned to cook to someone else and think in other person.
Normaly I cook alone because I concentrate more but I like cook listening some clasic music like Mozart. When My dear nanny teach me I had to cook with all my family in the chitchen and this was not easy because for cook you need to have some space and everything clean.
For every Christmas I cook cookies and I enjoy furnishing them with a lot of colors. When cookies ready I do some packages with a papa Noel in the cover and I give them to all my family members.

Hello Today I going to talk about holiday destinations I think this is topic that I can say a lot of things.
In the summer of 2007 I went to Cuba with my family. and I stayed there for a week or a little more I don`t remember. In “La habana” visited all the historical places and I know the culture of other peoples, it was a really nice experience but when I went to “Varadero” I think that the heave exists there is the most beutiful place that i ever see and been in my life. I woke up and ran to the beach to sunbathing all morning. I remember that journey because I had time to spend with my family
I planning to go to Viña del mar sooner I finish this semester. I dont care if I have to go alone all I want to do wiil be rest in peace!

In the summer i would like to go to the north of chile, I like to visit some places such as “San Pedro de Atacama” or “Bahia Inglesa” but I prefer make this travel with some friends of university. To make this trip I really need work to earn money. So I need search in Internet for a job.

When I finish this university semester I would like to visit the forestal park and stay there all me afternoon without think and make anything more. In this park I can shop some vintage things and listen the music that I like.

In summer I like sleep a lot and go out with my friends I care where i go, only care have a great time. I want to make a party in the swimming pool but I dont have one so I have so wait that someone invites me. Every summer I go to my grandfather home to take care for a while and I love it because he prepare me a magnific plates.

Other think that I like to make in summer is painting my bedroom because that it`s a good opportunity to do some change and use my imagination.

Actually I love summer so I dont care what to do.!

The article that I choose its is about the swine flu and the potential effects of this disease in pregnant women although there are no figures to confirm that swine flu is more harmful to pregnant women. Other important point that this artile said is something about de vaccine to the swine flu and
is safe for pregnant women and this way you can “evitar” a potential damage to baby.
according to a study made about 2.000.0000 of pregnant women each were injected with vaccine potential risks were lost or that the stillborn baby. although they were very few women that they have some problem with the vaccine a big percentage doesn`t have any problem.

The pregnant woman may be more likely to get swine flu and serious serious complications may require hospitalization for a while.


Obstetric consultant Dr Pat O'Brien believed that the swine flu virus can not relayed the placenta for that reason pregnat woman with swine flu may give birth to perfectly healthy children

Some Antiviral drugs such as Tamiflu and Relenza can be of great help to treat pregnant women with swine flu without doing any damage to the growing fetus.

a sporting life !!

Hello my dear writers today I am going to write about the importance of make any sport. When I think about the importance of doing any kind of sport, the first thing that comes to mind is the phrase "healthy body, healthy mind"
I was always a very sporty person, but when I come to college cost me much to balance my time so I can´t make anything. This situation cost me so much because I don’t feel good, sometimes I can´t wake up because I was so tired. I really think this was because I was not doing any kind of extracurricular activity
This semester I decided to enroll in female football and cost while at first I used to, now I feel I have more energy, more vitality.
Among the potential importance of sport, it is important to mention that in a country where the vast majority of people make weekly sports have risks of cardiovascular disease is greatly diminished. Besides the physical benefits that sports can generate noteworthy when one realizes that physical activity produces endorphins, a hormone responsible for a sense of wellbeing
I think it would be important that governments of all countries to engage in campaigns to promote the importance of age groups from children.
Some ideas that come to mind would be make some family runs where entire family is one for sports.
Last but not least I think it depends on the policies sports put in practice in our country and the social conscience of society take on the benefits of sports, as will the next generation of athletes in our country.
Finally it´s important to me said “Chile going to the World Cup in Sudafrica 2010!!!!”

Santiago

Hello today I am going to talk about places in Santiago to visit for a foreign tourist.
I think that a foreign tourist have to visit some of the representative buildings of this city like “la moneda” or the old building of the senate this a really nice construction.
If you want to do something more funny I think that the San Cristobal hill it’s the place that you can do a lot of things like walk to the top of the hill and see the virgin or take the “Teleferico” , you have an amazing panoramical view of the city .
Also you can visit the zoo and and learn more about our wildlife.

If you stay in Santiago and is a nice Sunday afternoon you can visit one of my favourite places of my city this is the Forestal park, all Sunday afternoon this park transformate in a street market and you can find every kind of things like a book or a “vinilo”.

if you want to go out in the night you can go to the Bellavista Neighborhood a this special neighborhood in Santiago. Theaters and fine restaurants await the arrival of visitors.

If the foreing tourist want to go to the snow only 50km away from the capital, La Parva ski resort and enjoy the snow as they behold the entire Valley of Santiago.
Visit to the Chilean Pre-Columbian Art Museum this is other alternative to visit and is one of the most important and emblematic museums in the American culture, as far as art is concerned.

Finally I think that Santiago it’s a great place to visit so you can make and do a lot of things and depends of you tastes.

Transantiago, before and after

Hello today I am going to talk about transantiago and I am going to give me opinion about some points of them.
I think that transantiago it`s was a good idea but in chile dont know how to put this system in practice.
In february of 2007 when transantiago star I really happy because Transport Minister said this a friendly system for the environment and Santiago going to have a new face without pollution and the time of travel its would be less. with the time I really disappointed because nothing of this promise was true.

When transantiago start I dont use buses so I dont know much about them , but I travel by subway and when Transantiago collapse subway its tranformate a mess. Every morning close some station because its collapse of people.
This was a bad point because subway its was so quiet and confortable.
And other bad pooint is the price of the public transport, around $500 for travel. A good point its the Fact that I can take a bus all night so I can go to a party and come back to me home in public transport.

Actually me experience with the transantiago sistem it`s really good because I have a lot of alternatives to get to me home. So I can travel by subway or I can travel by bus any of this alternatives its good for me.
If I can make some changes in Transantiago system I Would like make more eco friendly.
This is me opinion about transantiago system.

country I would like to visit

I would like to visit some caribean country because i like the weather and all of them have the most beutiful beaches, besides my father go to some of that countries and he love that experience. I know about "caribean" countries becauce I always see discovery travel and in that channel show videos and picture about the most beutiful beaches all over the world and make some ranking of them, in this ranking always have some "caribean" beaches so i always think " i want to go to that place"

If sometimes in my life I have the possibity to visit for example domenican republic or Mexico I like to know better their culture and traditions. I want to go to some arts and crafts market and buy something made in that country.

Of course I would like to visit all the beaches, swim and stay here all day.

I really like live in some of that countries because people is very nice and friendly. I think that I can be relax all day and watch sea.

But I dont like studing there because and hate the fact that i cant go to the beach because i have to study to some exam.

First semester of this year it was so great because I learn about new things in a differents aspects of my life.
Comparing to school I had to study a lot more to get the good marks that I used to have in school. At the begining I wasn't really organized with my time, and I didn't sleep enough because of the fact that I have to being studying for all my subjects.
I didn`t do any sports because i dont had any free time out of university life, but I try to balance eating healthy food but i cant really do it.
I learnd about my future career and other areas of csiences like biology, genetic and embriology and I was so happy when I pass all my subjects.
I think that the most difficult challenge was get used to my new style life and the fact that I have to grow up and take my own desicion because I studied a career for my future life.

Other bad ponit was that I dont have time to saw my friends and some of them they weren't happy with my failing of comitmet. But with time they understand that this is important to my so they support me all the time.
With my family were so different because i see so much more but most of the time I was so tired and i have bad mood. But they understand me and try me so well.

In conclusion this was a very good semester and I hope this will be best.

"Do Schools Kill Creativity"

In this conference Sir Ken Robinson talks about education and his perception about how the national system don’t let be development creativity. All they do is development one side of head.
He account many stories one of them is a child, she born in the 30s and in the school she had problems of concentration and her mom take of a psychology and he recommend to take her to a school of dance because she didn’t have any mental or physicist problem she was a ballerina and when she dance she can think.
Another point that I interesting it when he talk about something that Picasso say “ every child born been a artists” and with this main idea Robinson says that if you are not prepared to be wrong you will never come up with anything original. This is a problem because when we grow up becomes frightened of been wrong and this don’t let be creative.
In the end of his presentation he talks about uses in a correct way intelligence and creativity this way to be able to raise an education adapted to our children.
I like the way that Sir Ken Robinson thinks how can change the education for our children in favour to adaptable for the future.

Hi!! Today I have to talk about my blogging experience
When teacher says that we have to do a blog I don’t know how can I do it , because I don’t use this type of technology. But with help I create my blog and enjoy my blogging experience.



I feel that I don’t learn too much. Always make blogs so fast because the time is so short and sometimes I enjoy make some blog but in other times it is difficult to me make it so I don’t enjoyed. I felt that improve my English every week because I have to learn new words and try to create a sentence with sense but generally I wrote a lot of nonsense sentences.
A good point is that I have to learn to communicate and post to my classroom.
I think that the advantages of doing the blog were that learn to using the technology and to communicating with other persons across the net.
Another point is that across this work I could improve or try to improve my grammar.
I like the possibility that can express my opinion in several topics like my career, my favourite piece of technology and my favourite a description of a picture.

I do not believe that many disadvantages exist but one of them is the time I think that if we have more time we can write something more complete and interesting.

Another disadvantage is the fact that they never said to me what I have to improve and what I am doing well this is a recommendation.
In general I liked this new experience with blogs and technology but I think that I could make it better . I need motivation to make a good work.
I am really happy for do it this course.

My ideal work

My ideal work would be having a naturist center of pregnancy and help mother around the world. I always think this a really interesting way to change the vision of delivery and use millenary medicine. First I must finish my career and I have to learn about how I can make more natural the process. I like to learn of midwives of the amazons. I am good in this job because I like so much and I hard work in addiction I believe true fully in this type of delivery. When I left university I think I have the skill to development any work so I don’t be worry to can’t make my ideal work. The difficult part of this history is to get money to open my center. To get money I have to work in something related with my carreer.

I like do it some magister and doctorate if it's possible in university of Chile because have a good reputation
I have the disposition and the effort to overcome any conflict.
In conclusión I hope help people in every aspect tghis is my vocation so dont care where I can hepl.

my favourite subject

My favourite subject is education of health because its really fun because its dinamic. We can put in practice all that we have learned. Another point teacher is so comprehensive and he motivates to learning new things. I like this subjects because you dont new dedicated a lot of time you can learn a lot only going to the class and taking attention. I think this is a good methodology because you are not worry thinking that you dont studied and dont feel any pressure.
The other day have to make group and do some dynamics. I feel that i can use this knowledge in practice daily.
Usually my teacher is Eduardo Lillo but some times change and i have another teacher.
This subjects education for my carreer.
In this semester i learned about relationships and how I can treat with other people. In adition i learn how I can said what I feel without Confusions

My future

In five years I imagine in other country helping another people . For that reason i dont imagine with any children but I hope that my sisters have at least a son each one and its was really emotional and serious slightly wonderful for my that I have attended your childbirths.
I hope that in a future I am part of a new generation of professionals compromised with health of persons more than for money.

In my personal life i like to be with someone but i dont like at all be married i dont believe in them.

i going to live with me couple in "las tarrias" neighborhood or in some place with a great vegetation.

I am going to have many dogs, and i try to take of street.

Probably in a future make a degree of genetics.

These are my wishes for my future but life has many returns ... nobody know how much can change my life in the future years.

I choose Frank H. Netter, MD he is a medical illustrator, who is best known for his large quantity of illustrations. Published numerous books. I love it because he do it a anatomy book with a lot of ilustrations all of this make with your hands and he dedicated to her wife

He is incredibly detailed.

He draw The Netter Collection of Medical Illustrations and is the most useful book use for so many careers like obstetrics and medicine.

He spend so much time observe the human body and he say "I wanted to do was to make pictures" and when i look this picture they see so real and this a important point because when i study the book i use must be the most similar to a human body.

he knew how dificult was to medical student imaginate human body so in the medical school he developend his talent and teach other students.

I like frank netter becauce her book help me so much to understand and learn about human body and its really beutiful. and just i said he dedicated "netter" to her wife.

my career

I am studyng this career because I like babies and the process at pregnency in addition I have a great vocation of service. the obstetrics professionals contribute to society with so many things such as prevention of diseases, family planning, sexual education and in public health in general.
The future midwife have to had a great vocation of service and with this tool no needs anything more.
If we talk about physical tools depends of wich area of obstetrics you pick.
If I choose something with neonatalogy i need to have models of babies and i can practice with that.

I like so much this photo because remember me all things that can I do when I been in vacations. when I look this photo I smile and makes think positive.

The color of the sea its a really nice combination of my favorite colors.

It´s a very good place to be relax and think.

I love this beach because its really private and cleans. nobody scream in your ear selling things.Every time I go to this place i dont wanna go the sunset its the most beautiful thing that ever saw.

This beach was 30 km of bahia inglesa other nice beach of north of chile.

To get in to the beach every car have to pay $5000.

Every year in the news show this beach and always says that this is a caribean beach because they hace white sand and blue sea.

my favorite piece of technology is a computer because i had one since i was 8 years old. the true is that i did not know to use the computer when i was a little child, but at this time (20 years old) its a really usefull tool. Every work i have to do i use the computer for searching some information and use the "word" to make a some papers. I try to dont use every day because lost a lot of my time in facebook or in msn. i like so much my computer because i have had it a long time ago and i feel a special love for it. If my computer dont exit me life its was so complicated because i have to go to other places to use one.

My name is romina. I am 20 years old. Live in santiago, Chile. I am student of obstetrics this is me first year and its a little complicated but i try to enjoy this experience.
